Like its Asian market comparable version, the Ford Ranger Raptor employs a twin-turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel four-cylinder engine generating 210 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque and paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The turbochargers function in a sequential style, with the smaller unit functioning at reduced revs and the larger one using over greater in the rpm group. Ford also programmed the transmission so that the driver can override it anytime via the paddle shifters. Its chassis is tuned for off-road performance and features Fox shocks with Position Sensitive Damping. BF Goodrich all-terrain tires on 17-inch wheels arrive standard together with a front skid plate manufactured of high-durability steel. The Ranger Raptor might be driven in one of six modes, which includes Standard, Sport, Lawn/Pea gravel/Snow, Soil/Sand, Rock and roll, and Baja for high-speed off-road driving.

Inside, the Ranger Raptor includes Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an 8.-inch touchscreen. Raptor-particular sports seats arrive standard upholstered in a suede-like fabric and leather with blue sewing. Key exterior design cues distinguishing the Ranger Raptor from a standard Ranger include a distinctive grille, flared composite front fenders that will allow for longer suspension travel and large car tires, side step panels which also prevent rock mist and air window curtains on the front fender for much better airflow.
